Dengue Larvae: Rawal Town to Check 2,500 Plots per Day

In order to prevent spread of dengue larvae, as many as 2,500 vacant plots would be checked daily in Rawal Town area, District Health Officer Dr Amir Sheikh said on Thursday. Chairing a meeting to review anti-dengue arrangements, he said as dengue season starts from March, it has been decided to carry out surveillance on daily basis to detect larvae. He said that even the green belts along the roads in Rawalpindi would be checked for dengue larvae presence. Dr Amir said there was need to make collective efforts to implement strategies to check the spread of larvae with cooperation of the community.
